Trips to Gozo

Gozo - the island of Calypso where time stood still - is an ideal climbing holiday destination in itself. About forty per cent of all climbing routes in the Maltese islands are found in Gozo. Here, the climbing scenarios are extremely spectacular, with majestic cliffs towering above deep blue sea or gorge-like valleys meandering through the Gozitan unspoilt landscape. We organise day and multi-day climbing trips to this beautiful island of Gozo. A typical day trip, during the cooler months would involve catching the car ferry boat from Cirkewwa at 08.15 hrs ( the ferry crossing taking approximately 25 mins). The morning is spent climbing in one crag, then stopping for a snack lunch somewhere picturesque and then climbing at a different crag in the afternoon. The 18.00 hrs ferry boat from Mgarr would usually transport a happy bunch of climbers back to the mainland. The hotter months usually involve an earlier departure and a later return, in order to make time for a swim / siesta in the hotter part of the day. For those who would like to descend on Gozo in style, there is a helicopter service between the two islands. We also organize multi-day trips; wild camping out at night for the hardy ones, or for those who prefer a mattress to a camping foam mat, Gozo offers its visitors very good accommodation in the form of self-catering apartments or converted farmhouses or three, four or five star hotels.
Cost: on request Duration: full day (circa 12 hours) or multi-day
Trips to Comino
Comino - virtually uninhabited, no cars, bird sanctuary - a place to really get away from it all. On this island, the climbing is only located on its coastline. To date, only eleven established climbing routes exist there. We organize day climbing trips to Comino. In the hotter months, a swim in the enticing Blue Lagoon and/or a visit to Club Nautico ( the only water-sports centre on Comino) is a must. Multi-day trips are also possible, either wild camping out at night or staying at the four star Comino Hotel or its holiday bungalows (the only accommodation on Comino).
Cost: on request Duration: full day (circa 10hours) or multi-day
